Does the City of Bonita Springs regulate building colors?
Yes. The City of Bonita Springs land development code (LDC) regulates the materials and colors of all new and existing buildings and projects pursuant to LDC 3-487 and 3-489(n). Color changes within the Downtown redevelopment area are regulated pursuant to LDC 4-896(3)e.
Colors and materials are typically reviewed as part of the local development order review process for new or redevelopment projects where other site improvements and/or façade changes are contemplated.
Color changes outside of the local development order review process require a Color Permit ($25). The Color Palette Application can be obtained here and must be submitted for review at Community Development Department.
